Sobre automóveis e outros veículos a motor no geral, estes classificam-se, segundo o tipo e a classe/categoria.
tipo: passageiros e de mercadorias;
classe: ligeiros e pesados
A carta/título não tem a ver com o fabricante do veículo, mas sim com as características do veículo.
Por exemplo, um condutor de ligeiros conduz qualquer carro seja de que fabricante for, mas não pode conduzir, é veículos pesados (de características diferentes) cuja carta não o habilita para isso.
