Explanation:
Os knobs são "aqueles de girar" - pense no controle de volume em um aparelho de som dos anos 90. O "knob button" é um knob que também pode ser pressionado além de oferecer alguma regulagem conforme você gira. Não me lembro de ver desses em máquinas, acho que só sintetizadores meio vintage se não tiver enganado.

Às vezes traduzem "knob" como "pomo" ou "botão de rodar", mas tenho visto cada vez menos.

Hi Mariana. In Br Portuguese when talking about radios we say ''sintonize'' which is done by turning the knob. I found on Mercado Livre the word was left as 'knob', but I particularly never said that or heard someone else saying it.

Imagine uma máquina de lavar relativamente moderna como referência. Você tem um botão liga/desliga, como na sua primeira frase e o botão seletor de função para escolher o modo de lavagem. Em máquinas de lavar roupa antigas, você só tinha um grande botão e era preciso girar até a função desejada e puxar para ativar a máquina.
