Estive pesquisando os tipos de asma existentes, mas não cheguei a uma conclusão sobre o termo usado em português para "heavy asthma". No texto também aparece o termo "severe asthma", portanto, deve haver uma distinção entre essas variações da doença.

No Brasil utiliza-se a Escala Modificada Borg que é mais detalhista e oferece 10 níveis de intensidade. (Quadro na pág 3 do 1º link). Para responder a dúvida, eu consideraria a tabela 2 da página 4 do 1º link onde heavy asthma = asma grave e severe asthma = asma muito grave.
O 2º link mostra uma tabela em inglês onde severe intensity é a faixa de intensidade mais grave.
