Trata-se de tocar duas ou mais notas sucessivas com o mesmo dedo, na mesma casa tomando o cuidado de não deixar soando a nota anterior, já que a execução e feita com uma pestana \"móvel\"(ondulando sobre notas de uma mesma casa). É utilizada em frases que tenham intervalos de quarta justa ou terça maior (na segunda e terceira cordas). Toque os exemplos 1a e 1b como exercícios preparatórios para as frases seguintes. A maioria das frases pode ser feita com a palhetada sweep.
