It is common for Oxford Colleges to create an annual lecture named after someone important to the college (often in memorial). In this case, Guy Hands is a significant donor to Mansfield College.
Therefore, you do not need to translate "Hands"

O que me parece até então é que esse "hands" se refere a um grau de importancia do individuo, tal qual na expressão "ele é minha mão direita" ou "hand of the king". Se for isso, não consigo, no momento, encontrar uma boa tradução para esse conceito :(.
