Explanation:
Eu l-as lasa asa--l-am vazut de multe ori in romana lasat asa datorita lipsei unui termen adecvat. De fapt, asa apare si in DEX (http://dexonline.ro/search.php?cuv=porridge). Fireste, acum suna ciudat sa traduci ca polenta e un soi de porridge de porumb (cealalta varianta ar fi terci, ceea ce nu e bine--are alta consistenta), dar asta e riscul explicarii unui termen atat de familiar. S-ar putea si fiertura.
Tocmai acum am vazut ca si polenta a intrat in vocabularul romanesc (http://dexonline.ro/search.php?cuv=polenta).

Explanation:
Chiar aşa! Este o fiertură din porumb macinat. Mămăliga poate fi mai moale (scăzută), mai tare (frecată). Nu are cum să fie invenţie românească. (Doar atîta că la români... nu explodează!)
