The Representative shall not pledge the credit of the Principal in any way. "Credit" se refera la sold sau la altceva? (reprezentantul in cauza nu are voie sa vanda produsele, deci nici sa incaseze contravaloarea lor, poate doar sa le promoveze).

"pledge the credit of" is not a financial/banking term, but a set phrase that means misusing another person's name, falsely claiming that one does something on another person's behalf.

the word PLEDGE is used in daily life as a synonoym of the verb to /promise/. I pledge loyalty to you = I promise to be loyal to you.

Credit, definition

6. reputation of solvency and probity, entitling a person to be trusted in buying or borrowing: Your credit is good.

7. influence or authority resulting from the confidence of others or from one's reputation.

...

10. a sum of money due to a person; anything valuable standing on the credit side of an account: He has an outstanding credit of $50.

What I infer as being pledged , in my view, is credit defined by #s 6 and 7 above, in negotiations with parties the Finder brings in, not the product/service that the bank offers to the public.
