Aş reformula un pic şi aş zice astfel:

"... Sub influenţa acesteia, a ajuns să se convertească la catolicism, deşi încă era departe de a fi gata să renunţe la exhibiţionism şi nici la spankingul pe care i-l administrau doamne încântătoare..."

De ce? Fiindcă spanking este deja terminus technicus, ca să zic aşa, adică termenul consacrat care denumeşte o anume practică erotică, nu numai în engleză, ci şi în alte limbi, inclusiv în română; Wikipedia îl dă în germană, italiană, olandeză, daneză, poloneză, cehă, iar dacă s-ar fi găsit cineva să scrie un articol în română, precis că tot spanking i-ar fi zis; deja e folosit şi la noi ca atare, siteurile erotice româneşti îl menţionează. Iar contextul dat se pare că la asta se referă. Plus că o traducere ar fi redundantă: la fel cum zici exhibiţionism şi nu mai explici ce-i aia, fiindcă oricum toată lumea ştie, la fel se lasă şi spanking, fiindcă toată lumea ştie ce este.

Asker: Mulţumesc, Ovidiu, de acord cu explicaţiile şi îmi place reformularea, dar aleg totuşi o variantă românească, şi pentru cei ce nu ştiu engleză... "Spanking" nu a apărut încă în DEX, deşi nenumărate alte englezisme da.
