Please help translate the play on words. The context is a standup comedy, as follows:

It's got three comedy clubs
and I'd just done a 15-minute set
in the OR, which is the original room,
but they call it the OR.
And right before I went on stage,
I was in the green room of the main room,
and they came over there
and they said, "They need you in the OR."
I never thought anybody
would say that, you know?

"OR" generally is known as operating room in a hospital. The joke is that he thought would never hear someone say that he is needed in the operating room. I am interested in the translation of "OR". Если перевести как "Вы нужны в операционной", то нет связи с "первоначальной комнатой" в комедийном клубе. Назвать "original room" операционной при первом упоминании тоже неправильно.

Asker: Все просто. Он стоит и ждет в одной комнате перед выступлением, а за ним пришли и позвали в другую. Эта другую комнату прозвали "OR" (как сокращение для "original room"). По-английски, звучит так же как операционная. Он не хирург, он - юморист в образе мужика с Колымы. Мне нужно передать шутку.
