Natalie: Насчет "бум" совсем не уверена (зауководражательные thak и tik как-то должны соответствовать русским аналогам), но вот то что meaty = сочный, - это точно.

-> спасибо. имхо, можно уходить от ихних таков и тиков к нашим названиям звуков, т.к. у них собаки гавкают, а кошки мяукают совсем другими названиями звуков, чем наши гав и мяу. Тут больше важен характер звука - короткий, звонкий и т.п., чем его название
