Saturate the Felt packing on the Seal Ring. Spray the locating hole with SAE 140 GL - 5 oil and install the dowel pin in the wheel hub. Coat the wheel hub bearing race seating area with SAE 140 GL-5 oil and install the wheel hub bearing outer race (cup) into the wheel hub bearing bore. Apply on the entire Stator Frame O.D except for the first 3" length at the outboard end before installing the motor cartridge into the frame structure barrel.
When the wheel motor is stored for a longer period or is being shipped, then all external machined/unpainted surfaces such as frame structure mounting flange, wheel hub, parking brake adapter, entire disc brake hub and speed sensor wheel must be cleaned and slushed with rust inhibiting compound.
