Спасибо большое! Сейчас ещё нашла в Гугле одно упоминание патрона типа "фонарь") и до этого находила lantern chuck в англоязычных источниках. Может, действительно, патрон имеется в виду?
И ещё хотела ваше мнение узнать: если на схеме станка есть просто head и boring head - это может быть шпиндельная и расточная бабка?

steady rest - это просто люнет.
fixed s.r. - неподвиждный люнет, крепится на станину.
moving steady rest - подвижный люнет, крепится на суппорт и движется вместе с ним.
