English term or phrase: tension, strain

The ten Relaxercise exercises in this book involve slow, easy movements that activate your brain’s movement centers and generate a flow of valuable information between your brain and your muscles. Automatically, as if by magic, ***tension, strain***, fatigue, and discomfort will disappear as your neuromuscular system reprograms itself for better health.

Most aches and pains are due to a combination of muscular ***tension, strain***, and poor posture. Relaxercise has an immediate soothing effect, relaxing your tired muscles, relieving strain and improving your posture. Your aches and pains can disappear very quickly—even chronic pains that may have been troubling you for a very long time. The exercises in this book will also help you to prevent their recurrence.

Russian translation:
Explanation:
А muscle strain, or pulled muscle, is when your muscle stretches beyond its normal range of motion, sometimes leaving a large tear in the muscle tissue.
