English term or phrase: Artillery counter-reconnaissance by measurements
The English term may not be correct, but it is not important, because I am actually translating from Finnish into Russian. The Finnish term is “tykistön mittaustiedustelu” (lit. ‘artillery measurement reconnaissance’) and it refers to determining the positions of the enemy artillery by locating them by muzzle flash and shot bang bearings (пеленгацией), and also by radar on the basis of the trajectory of the projectile.
