  -> Хм, почему? Stopped, went – по-моему, одиночные действия вполне. Было бы it was going, например. EDIT: ok. =)
agree  alex077: Да, при большом усилении (перегрузе), да еще с лимитерами, во время игры всё ничего, но в паузе вылазит сильный шум - вероятно, об этом и речь. Поскольку явно используется перегруженный звук гитары, то возможно, слово "перегруз" подойдет даже больше.
