К комментарию Натальи: 1. Очень сомнительно, что обычно они используют общие защитные костюмы, особенно если речь о защитных костюмах в связи с коронавирусом. (Если Вы опираетесь на фразу "Limit the shared use of production items", то едва ли защитный костюм является production item). +почему в таком случае такие отдельные костюмы предполагаются ТОЛЬКО для звукотехников?
2. Также нелогично использовать костюмы, чтобы минимизировать контакты. Хотя бы потому, что есть оговорка "по возможности" и контакт есть даже в костюмах.
3. Здесь как раз нужно pre-. 1) В отрывке говорится о важности перестроить рабочие процессы, делать максимум работы заранее, чтобы персонал не пересекался = сокращал контакты между собой. 2) Pre- бы не было, если б оно было неважно.
На мой взгляд, это всё же глагол и не имеет отношения к костюмам звукотехников.

disagree  Natalie: Это не соответствует контексту//Суть в том. что разные команды, напр., осветители, звукотехзники итд) должны иметь отдельные защитные костюмы. "Pre-" как "предварительный" здесь вообще не играет никакой важной роли.
