Explanation:
It is a "white rat" - the common albino laboratory rat descended from the Norwegian rat, Rattus norvegicus - that can trace its ancestry to the Wistar Institute that developed that particular strain. "Wistar rat" is a proper noun and should be treated like a "Ford automobile"
