It is the intention of SMG to deliver additive value to the Client in deflationary markets, i.e. to target full unit price reduction off a fully deflated base price as in the example 2 below. This example is not intended to be exhaustive but rather to illustrate intent.

However in market, certain practical realities may work against this full additive value. Deflation may be forecast for a particular market for the year ahead but before deals can be concluded inflation may have reappeared, due to supply side changes, economic conditions, etc.
