English term or phrase: Funding versus Financing
Financing is defined as the source of money required up-front to meet the costs of constructing infrastructure. Financing is typically sourced by the government through surpluses or government borrowing or by the private sector raising debt and equity finance.

Funding generally refers to the source of money required to meet payment obligations. It refers to the source of money over the long-term to pay the PPP private partner for the investments, operating costs, and maintenance costs of the project. Funding is typically sourced from taxes or from user charges.

Sve je jasno, ali nemam ideju kako bih prevela funding vs. financing.

disagree  Daryo: can't see how it would apply to this ST i.e.to the specific definitions given as applicable TO THIS TEXT // the point is to get the right meaning of the term AS USED in a specific text - context-free dictionary definitions notwithstanding.

-> I do (and I did) understand what you mean. I'm sure we all know the difference between these 2 words. But we also all know that there is,unfortunately, very rarely a "word for word" equivalent. We are lucky to have the same form (gerund, glagolska imenica).
