direktno i indirektno (posredno) plaćanje
Explanation:
Pošto se pojam "settlement" u datom kontekstu vezuje za banke i kategoriju rizika, tako sam ga i potražila:
"My thought is that settlement risk simply refers to a counterparty that misses a payment or is late on a payment..."
https://www.analystforum.com/forums/cfa-forums/cfa-level-iii...

Tako da, "settlement" bi u ovom slučaju ipak bio vezan za plaćanja.

Iz on-line rečnika:
"An example of an indirect payment would be the settlement by the buyer, whether in whole or in part, of a debt owed by the seller."/"Posredno plaćanje bilo bi i kada kupac plati dugovanje prodavatelja, djelomično ili u cijelosti."

neutral  Daryo: One possible meaning, but far from being the most likely. With banks "settlement" is far more likely to mean "settling (= paying) what you owe to us". Unless you're a biiiig client you'll do precious little "negotiating" with a bank. More context needed.
