Pripadnici grupe koja postavlja, pokreće to pitanje veruju da će time izazvati polemiku, razmenu mišljenja i sukob na protivničkoj strani koji vodi do razdora odnosno podele ili, u političkom životu, ubediti glasače da se slože sa njihovim stavovima
