Pojmovi nelinearne dinamike i Aleksandr Mikhailovich Lyapunov (1857 ~V 1918) A.M.Lyapunov
Pojmovi nelinearne dinamike sve vise prodiru u razne oblasti nauka. Znacajno mesto u tome imaju teorija stabilnosti Aleksandra Mihajlovica Ljapunova, kao i pojmovi: Ljapunovljevih funkcija prvog i drugog reda, Ljapunovljev funkcional, Ljapunovljevi eksponenti. U ovoj godini se navrsava 150 godina od rodjenja velikana mehanike i uopste nauke Aleksandra Mihajlovica Ljapunova. To je povod da se prikazu teorija stabilnosti Ljapunova i njen uticaj na savremena naucna istrazivanja, kao i pojmovi nelinearne dinamike koji imaju naucno utemeljenje i korene u radovima Ljapunova.

Praktičnu stabilnost, ili “stabilnost na skupovima”, kroz razmatranje i procenu kvantitativnog ponašanja trajektorija kretanja na konačnom vremenskom intervalu dao je Heinen (1970, 1971), koji je i prvi našao potrebne i dovoljne uslove ovog koncepta stabilnosti, koristeći prilaz sa pozicija Ljapunova i “diskretnih Ljapunovljevih funkcija ”.
