Lapstrake Lapstrake is construction method for wooden boats when higher planks overlap lower planks along thair edge. I'm guessing that "lapstrake oak" is oak plank that will be used to build a boat with lapstrake method. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Lapstrake&redirect... .
