To bude určite záležať na použití toho textu. Ak mu adresát plne rozumie v origináli, tak nie (ale to by asi nepotreboval preklad). Ale ak nerozpráva odbornou lekárskou angličtinou, tak nikde nie je napísané, že všetky tie skratky pozná. Keby boli čisto latinského pôvodu, to by bolo iné.
