Science - Botany / EDIBLE PLANTS
English term or phrase: Abal
Hola, os dejo el contexto:

EDIBLE PLANTS
Abal
Found in North Africa, the Middle East and desert regions of western India, abal has a broom-like appearance, with green branches producing flowers in spring.

http://wildernessarena.com/food-water-shelter/food-food-wate...

abal
Calligonum comosum / arta

Explanation:
Calligonum comosum doesn't seem to have a common name. But it's closely related to "arta"' Calligonum polygonoides.

Arta and Auarach are transliterations from Arabic of course, not Spanish words as such.

Auarach es nombre indígena. Aparentemente no hay un nombre español.
