Anai, for this reason, among others, those willing to help you cannot identify the document only you appear to have access to, and all we have been asking is for very specific information, eg. Title of the table, table number or the "specific document" you are working out, identifying the country, which would then have made the search easier for everyone! And I see that even to this morning, other persons still cannot identify which document (with document number) you are working with (which country) and where exactly you are! (John even said this)! I am shutting up now. Regards.
Thanks for the additional information... but.... From last night, I did say I was going to shut up! However, the paragraph you quoted appears in literally every document at the beginning, evidenced here (link below of which are are no less than 64 documents), and each with a date at the top, whether it is March 15, 2004, etc. Also one of the only differences between your posting is where it says "The Bureau asks that these factors be examined.....", other reports may specifically identify "The Africa Bureau", or another (country-specific) Bureau and each has a particular number assigned to it.
The information I can provide, though, is very scarce: the text in question appears as a table title. Underneath, two bullets read: • Acacia (acacia magnum) • Other forest trees. Thank you for taking the time to post and help! I actually have used María's suggestion: "Plantación de especies forestales", based on your advice to not use "árboles forestales".
I am still failing to see where "forest tree plantation" appears... ? María and I have given you few options that may work, but it would seem like a good exercise to try to take the viewpoint of the people who try to assist you. I believe in that way you could get a better and more accurate help. Regards. :-)
The PERSUAP you are quoting, is the one issued in 2003 (13 years ago!). So, a number of updates are already available since then. You cannot assume yours is the one and only PERSUAP existing version. It has varied over the years. Thank you, again for your help.
Taña - I probably now know where the misunderstanding comes from: there is not ONE PERSUAP document, as you mention. I have copied a paragraph from another document, that might clarify.
"USAID guidance: preparing PERSUAPs for pesticide programs / Overview of review requirements
"All USAID activities are subject to evaluation via, at minimum, an Initial Environmental Examination (IEE). And because of risk concerns presented by pesticides, the USAID environmental regulations require that at least the 12 factors outlined in the Pesticide Procedures described in 22 CFR 216.3 (b)(1)(i) (a through l) be addressed in the IEE for any program that includes assistance for the procurement or use of pesticides. The Bureau asks that these factors be examined in a particular type of document, termed a “Pesticide Evaluation Report and Safer Use Action Plan” (PERSUAP), which is submitted as an attachment to the IEE or to an amendment to the IEE. (...) The PERSUAP focuses on the particular circumstances of the program in question, the risk management choices available, and how a risk management plan would be implemented in the field. (...)
These are the documents on which I have based my search: (1) http://pdf.usaid.gov/pdf_docs/Pnacx490.pdf is the "Pesticide Evaluation Report and Safer Use Action Plan (PERSUAP)", 207 pages in total and contains tables. (2) http://pdf.usaid.gov/pdf_docs/pnadj414.pdf is the Report "Amendment to a Pesticide Evaluation Report and Safer Use Action Plan (PERSUAP)" by Mario Pareja and Ruth Marcela Avendaño, and is 101 pages in length with tables. 3) So, if in either 1) or 2) above, what is the "Table Number" and the "Title" where the term "forest tree plantation" allegedly appears? 4) Or if the term is not in any of these reports above, and yet another PERSUAP document to which only you have access, the table must contain more information than just "forest tree plantation". 5) After this, I give up and shut up! Regards.
You are working on the PERSUAP document, entitled "Amendment to a Pesticide Evaluation Report and Safer Use Action Plan (PERSUAP)", isn't that correct? Perhaps I should have been more explicit as I have the document open and a search of this "Amendment" document does not contain the term "forest TREE plantation". If it is the "Amendment" document, the term that appears on page 6 in a text box is: "forest plantations (various species), ...". Anai, I based this off your previous question re papaya. Can you then confirm where exactly you are in the "Amendment" document, or is it another PERSUAP document, or yet still a totally different part, an extract perhaps? That is why I am confused, and reiterate that in the "Amendment" document the term you requested "forest tree plantation" as far as I can see, DOES NOT appear. Regards.
@Tana, I am sorry if my question is not understandable. That's exactly why I mentioned that the term is part of the PERSUAP, consisting mainly of tables. No additional context is available. This is the exact term. Thank you for your comment!
With all due respect, you are parsing your queries incorrectly. Anai, ideally you should either enclose a link to the document in question, or a few sentences before and after the term you require. BTW, if you are speaking about Page 6 of the report, and within the text box, the term I believe is "forest plantations". Anai, context is vital. I suggest you close this question and please give us the correct term and additional context. Please! Warm regards.
