Tengo dudas con este término, que al parecer es un tipo de alcaloide, pero apenas encuentro referencias. La traducción más obvia, «morodicina», no la veo recogida en ningún sitio. Me aparece en la descripción del melón amargo o «bitter melon», en un contexto parecido a este:

The bitter flavor in both the fruits and leaves is due to the alkaloid morodicine, which can be reduced somewhat by parboiling or soaking in salt water.
