también podrías decir jurisdicción competente y Derecho aplicable

he visto en algunos lugares "legislación aplicable" pero "law" tiene un campo semántico más amplio que legislación. 'Law' abarca también los precedentes jurisprudenciales, por eso 'ley aplicable' me parece más acertado aquí. Saludos.
