English term or phrase: up-concentration
Hi,
In a fairly clear instructions manual of a CIP machine I came across the term "up-concentration", which I cannot seem to grasp.

The instructions are as follows:
When level is ok, the CIP line is flushed to drain on volume.
The level is maintained continuously as long as the makeup service is started and no lines are using the tank.
As soon as the CIP line is not using the tank, fresh water is filled into the tank.
The up-concentration is done continuously as soon as the low level switch is wet.

Does anyone know what this term means?

Spanish translation:reposición
Explanation:
The up-concentration is done continuously as soon as the low level switch is wet.

Explanation:
Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) is now a very common practice in many dairy, processed food, beverage and brewery plant replacing manual strip down, cleaning and rebuilding of process systems. The primary commercial advantage is a substantial reduction in the time that the plant is out of production and the ability to utilize more aggressive cleaning chemicals in a contained environment which cannot be safely handled with manual cleaning.
Such operation is not environmentally friendly and can only be justi ed if it is essential to apply a single use system to prevent microbiological cross-contamination of different areas of the process plant. It is more usual to recover cleaning solutions in a recovery tank and **restore the original concentration** of the cleaning fluid, and then to re-use the recovered solution.

Reference information:
make-up of chemical to keep up the specified concentration of the cleaning agent. Let's say the cleaning agent is an acid. it will get neutralized little by little, not to mention leaks, drained liquid, etc., so acid make-up is necessary.

I cannot be sure 100%, but, given the context, it would be my first "suspect"...
Does it make sense?

No sé si me explico...

Note to reference poster
Asker: O sea, ¿"up concentrate" significará "mantener el nivel"?
