Spanish translation:juego sensorial / libre
Explanation:

Kids just love getting mucky and making a mess – whether that’s squishing jelly through their hands, smearing mud across their faces or crunching rice krispies between their fingers!

So does messy play really benefit a child?

Yes! Messy play is extremely important for a child’s development. It provides children with an exciting tactile and sensory experience that inspires their curiosity, allows them to explore the world around them and enhances their learning, language and creativity. Children learn through experimentation and discovery and messy play encourages children to explore new textures and manipulate different materials through touch.

desordenada

Explanation:
If, in context, you understand that the play area has toys all around, then "desordenada" is the word you are looking for.

desordenada

Explanation:

Messy play, or sensory play, is the term for any activities allowing children to work with their hands to create a controlled mess.

Gracias.
