Sin embargo. Locución adverbial (no conjuntiva, como dicen muchas gramáticas) que expresa oposición parcial a lo enunciado anteriormente en el discurso.
Es frecuente que ocupe un segundo lugar en la oración; pero puede ir en cualquier sector de ella, preferentemente al principio. En todo caso, es norma ortográfica aislar esta locución del resto de la frase por medio de comas.

Si bien "sin embargo" suele ocupar el principio de la oración, no siempre tiene por qué ser así...
