English term or phrase: Wage floor
Is there any difference between wage floor and minimum wage?
The definition I found for Wage Floor is
"floor below which wages are not allowed to fall"
however, still does not tell me if I should just translate it as salario mínimo (minimum wage). I have seen it translated as Base salarial and Salario mínimo in a couple of Proz glossaries, which makes me wonder if there is a difference as well between base salarial (ojo, no confundir con salario base) and salario mínimo.
The importance of using the correct term is because wage floor could be a variable part of a research model or analysis.

What do you think? Thanks in advance.

Context is:
This evidence proves an important role of a **wage-floor** (induced by efficiency wages and exacerbated by institutional factors) under which the productivity gap cannot be compensated by a wage gap.

A maioria das profissões, todavia, têm um piso salarial da categoria (que é, na maioria das vezes, acima do mínimo legal), fixado por suas entidades representativas, através de convenções coletivas de trabalho, além de outras vantagens.
