-------------------------------------------------- Note added at 39 mins (2017-03-11 17:06:07 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Hi Robert! Not sure I follow.... "Barrett shot at Stepinski" would be "Barrett le disparó a Stepinski". -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2017-03-11 17:35:52 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Hi Robert. If you take the sentence isolated yes, it could be ambiguous both in English and Spanish. But that is the way it is written and it makes sense in the context, since the lead states Barrett was captured after "shooting and wounding" Stepinski. Come to think of it, another way of saying "allegedly" in journalism is "Gene Barrett, de 51 años, le habría disparado a JS en la cabeza aldededor de las....." etc. |
