Hola ! personalmente me inclino por "tener en cartera" a un cliente, proveedor.
Trabajé más de 20 años con clientes y la palabra propiedad sobre un cliente no se usa.
Sí se defiende "la propiedad" diciendo que está en tu cartera, que lo has atendido xx años, etc.
