In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, a border closure may refer to a regional or national measure taken in order to contain the spread of the virus —either to keep the virus from spreading outwards, or into a previously uncontaminated zone.

The term I propose refers to the closure of borders with other countries. If you just refer to the closure of some cities or regions inside de same country, the term would be "confinamiento perimetral", which is the most usual term used in the media.
