Soportan / dar soporte / brindar soporte

Explanation:
Para:
- The abdominal muscles "support" the spine and play an important role in the health of the back.

- Exercises to "support" a healthy back.
Se podría utilizar: ejercicios que promueven...
O: ejercicios para fortalecer

Para: "supportive" clothing and shoes.

- What can I wear to "support" my back?

  -> Muchas gracias, Paulina.

agree  Neil Ashby: But I wouldn't use "fortalecer" as it implies the muscles make the back stronger; exercises would 'fortalecer' the back, but not the simple presence of the muscles.

-> Valid (although those muscles there help protect the back ones, so they 'fortalecen la espalda'); I just wanted to use different words because 'support' can be translated into spanish with different meanings taking into account the context. Thanks, Neil.
