agree  Charles Davis: En castellano, me parece que se llamaría "ritmo" el fenómeno al que se alude, porque se emplea "ritmo" para referirse al tempo o pulso. En cambio, "harmonic rhythm" no sería adecuado en inglés. Como dices, cuestión de costumbre.
