This is a stage of the papermaking process:

These compositions can be introduced or brought into contact with the
Acacia fiber at the ***thick stock storage stage*** or prior to
any flotation stage. Preferably, these
compositions are introduced after the flotation
stage in the papermaking process. More preferably,
these compositions are introduced
after the flotation stage and before the paper
machine headbox. The compositions can be added in
the paper machine white water. In some papermaking
processes, there is no flotation step. Thus, the esterase or
lipase-containing compositions, are preferably added
at and/or after the pulper, and/or at and/or before the
headbox. The compositions can also be added in the
paper machine white water.
