refluir / estabilizarse Explanation: Lip como verbo significa "lap against" o "lick". Igual que en español que las olas "lamen" la playa. Pero como es "lip back" yo usaría refluir en el primer ejemplo. Trata la primera frase de lo que tarda el fluido en "refluir" a su estado inicial tras haberle aplicado una fuerza mecánica. Definición de "shear flow": In fluid mechanics, the term shear flow (or shearing flow) refers to a type of fluid flow which is caused by forces, rather than to the forces themselves. In a shearing flow, adjacent layers of fluid move parallel to each other with different speeds. Viscous fluids resist this shearing motion. En el segundo ejemplo no hay ningún "centrifugado"; simplemente se vierte desde la batidora (un "high-shear mixer" pienso) en un vaso de precipitados y se mide lo que tarda en estabilizarse. Esta segunda acepción de "lip" la veo menos clara, pero es lo único que entiendo se puede medir en términos temporales a partir del simple hecho de verter un fluido en un vaso.
