I realized that God is very concerned about keeping me at the level of the truth, so much so that He reacted by telling me there is a lie in my midst, even when I was just day-dreaming or fantasizing about my future husband. God did not hesitate to speak the truth, did not waste one moment waiting for me to, perhaps, be in a better frame of mind. No. God offered the truth when it would do the most good. I know, now, that seizing the immediacy of the moment helps make the truth so much more obvious, and useful. From this personal encounter, I learned that believing in what we want to believe — even when we know it is the product of a fantasy — can be dangerous; it can lead to unrealistic expectations. In my case, in a marriage that did not yet exist. Interestingly enough, I would get a sign in my left ear when I began slipping seriously into a lie.

  -> Ya explico en mi respuesta que el sentido no es el mismo, pero hay un paralelo porque el aviso divino no es de aprobación sino de crítica. Sigo pensando que puede ser una solución. Si alguien propone mejores alternativas, tendrá mi voto. Saludos
