My closeness to God grew as my awareness of what is divine developed. And, I tell you this as encouragement on your own trip, there is payback all along the way. In one instance that I remember so well, God actually told me that my little dog was sick and what was wrong with this beloved companion. This happened while I was in the United States and my dog was back in South Africa. It reminded me that with God there is no distance, time, space. Only love.
