Explanation:
Es como lo traduciría a partir de los términos que utiliza esta disciplina científica.
Por la descripción parece ser un ducto para extracción de muestras para la bioexploración, pero en general, en ingeniería, es bueno que el término traducido se lo más próximo posible al de origen.

Hacia una potente y activa cartera de biodescubrimiento marino


Explanation:
Tenía mis dudas pero 'biodescubrimiento' ya es un término aceptado, o por lo menos muy utilizado, en el campo de la investigación de nuevas sustancias con potenciales efectos farmacéuticos aprovechables.

'Pipeline' viene a ser el conjunto de potencialidades que, en este contexto, alberga el fondo marino. Por analogía con su traducción en otros contextos, propongo 'cartera'. Por una parte me gusta aunque por la otra... no tanto, ya que supone un conjunto finito, suposición que no tenemos en 'pipeline'. Además, no incluye el sentido de 'flujo' y continuidad que sí connota 'pipeline' en inglés. Es una solución de compromiso.
