palabras iguales

Explanation:
Since search engines work through key words, I guess you'd be safely covered if you use this. You could also use "relación", but I don't like it a lot. Hope it helps. Good luck.

I just ran a search in Yahoo! Mexico

Explanation:
and the match is described as Correspondencias.

I ran the search and the results were listed under the title "Correspondencias en Yahoo!"
"Correspondencias en Noticias", etc.

So I guess this is your best bet!

Good luck!

Coincidir

Explanation:
Dependiendo del contexto puede ser:
Match case:

Coincidir. I agree with the previous answer.

Explanation:
This is more accurate. Corresponder may be more appropriate for relational data bases. I'd rather accept Microsoft's translation than Yahoo-Mexico's, since most professionals are using it.

Just my two pesos worth

Explanation:
The question isn't on Match case, where the correct translation would be coincidir mayúsculas/minúsculas (in an MS Office context), but when referring to internet searches on databases, Yahoo!, Altavista, etc., a match is known as a "Correspondencia".

Best of luck!

resultados

Explanation:
Even if the word used in English is 'match', what they're really providing are the 'results' of a query or search. So, depending on the context, you can choose the equivalent in Spanish which would be 'resultados'.

For instance, I use dogpile.com for searching in multiple engines at once... it'll give you a listing of sites found and at the bottom, it'll say, 'For more results, click below."

PS: You needn't use a literal translation.

coincidencia

Explanation:
