Explanation:

En el teclado del teléfono existe ese signo y lo llaman /numeral/.
Por ejemplo, cuando llamas a un menú grabado, la grabación te indica /presione numeral 1/ o sea #1.
En el lenguaje escrito se deja tal cual #1
En el lenguaje hablado se dice /numeral 1/.
