The analogy is to that of construction on greenfield land where there is no need to remodel or demolish an existing structure." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenfield_project As far as I know, this is how the term is used in Sweden as well (and other countries). I would say "greenfieldprojekt," but maybe others prefer with a hyphen (it's used both ways in these sources). Example sentence(s):
