English term or phrase: Ugh merchant/ knuckle dragger
The 'Ugh-merchant' is the hunched over twenty first century cave man, making primitive noises like 'ug/ugh' with his knuckles downward pointing to the ground. An insult used against those of extremely low intelligence, or general stupidity e. g.
-Bubba is such a knuckle dragger.
- He's so thick he can't put a sentence together. He's a real ug merchant.

I knew the word for caveman but didn't realise that it could be used of a modern so-called 'civilised' person.
However, I liked this alternative. I assumed it might be derogatory but a Turkish friend removed all doubt by giving me examples of the use of Allah'ın öküzü as derogatory. He wrote that if you see someone pissing under a tree in the middle of the city, or you see someone smoking in a public closed place you can say Allahın öküzü to that guy to start a fight ) It's usually said when you see someone do something uncivilized that seems out of place.
