For image see http://www.lancing-postcards.bn15.net/rail.html photos 3 & 4. What is the colloquial Turkish for a pedestrian footbridge over a railway line. In the North of England we used to call them monkey bridges! I do not refer to any footbridge over a railway but the examples illustrated in the above website. Please give me the usual Turkish term not a mere translation.

Thanks for a good Turkish equivalent for a railway footbridge. When I was a boy in the North of England we used to call such bridges a monkey bridge. I had no idea why until I looked up the term online. The image resembled a metal equivalent of the original meaning of the term. See maymun köprüsü for images.
