Трелюванням називається переміщення дерев, хлистів або сортиментів від місця звалювання до лісовідвантажувального пункту. Трелювання є найважливішою операцією в лісозаготівельному процесі: на неї припадає на 25-30% трудовитрат по лісосічних роботах і 9-11% всіх трудовитрат по комплексу лісозаготівель.
