Tech/Engineering - Architecture / University educational course title
English term or phrase: Finishing
I am translating an educational transcript from Romanian to English. One of the course titles is literally translated as "finishing". I cannot find any other possible translations for the term. However, I cannot find similar types of courses in UK universities for such a course. Does anybody know a better term for this. I have no other information on what the course involves, but it was taken in the second year of an architectural degree during the 80's. Other subjects studied during this period were :

1. History of architecture
2. Theory of architecture
3. Buildings
4. Principles of urban planning
5. Structural mechanics
6. Finishing

Notes to answerer
Asker: I am aware what finishing is. But I cannot find what UK universities call the course which covers this subject. I believe there may be a more elaborate name for a university course covering this.

agree  Christopher Crockett: In the U.S. (and maybe the U.K.), a "finish carpenter" is a subspecialty devoted to, say, hanging doors, doing the interior trim, (possibly) kitchen cabinetwork, etc. This course might go beyond that, into exterior work, like painting, stuccowork, etc.
