I think "range" goes with "to empty" and that it means "fuel range to empty", with the meaning Cilian has given. So it's "trip odometer" and "range to empty". An odometer tells you how far the vehicle has travelled. A trip odometer tells you how far it has travelled on this trip (since the odometer was last reset to zero). If information on fuel is included, it can give you a number of pieces of information in addition to miles or kilometres travelled this trip, such as average fuel consumption this trip, and so on. You can toggle through these. One of them is "(fuel) range to empty". |
