English language (monolingual) [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Automotive / Cars & Trucks / Gauges
English term or phrase: range to empty
The context: Please show them the switch for toggling through the trip odometer and range to empty.

Should be read: [trip odometer and range] [to empty] or else? Yet, isn't odometer for gauging range?

But, however it should be read, I have absolutely no idea what to empty> means. A kind of resetting the gauge?

Thanks a lot for your help.
